Vietnam is clearly known for the sea of bikes especially in Ho Chi Minh City. However, at night, that sea vanishes. It was one of those nights that we wanted to enjoy the back of the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon in District 1.
Vincom B Shopping mall is the one on the upper left outlined with blue lights. On the lower left of the photo is the Saigon Central Post Office which showcases its antique architecture and age-long maps (which I really appreciate a lot). Bitexco Financial Tower, the tallest building in the city, is the one to the left of the highest tower of the church. It also has a helipad in its 52nd floor.
This photo just implies how near the tourist attractions are to each other in District 1. In fact, to the extreme right of the church (from the photo) is the Reunification Palace or Independence Palace, which is likewise rich in history.
